Bracknell Flames Sessions ignites the youth.

Our baseball training sessions kicked off this past Friday at Westmorland Park, where a delightful collection of enthusiastic children gathered to try out baseball for the very first time. This initiative aims not only to introduce them to the sport but also to help them cultivate a lasting love for the game that has brought joy to so many across the globe.

The inaugural session marked the beginning of what promises to be an exciting journey for these young athletes. The palpable excitement radiating from the children was infectious, and it was equally mirrored in the energy of Coach Carlos and Holy. Their passion for the game and commitment to nurturing the next generation of players was evident. Additionally, we were fortunate to have the support of our very own Pyros Player, Freddie, who brought his experience and enthusiasm to the field, encouraging the kids and sharing his love for baseball.

Bracknell has a rich history of pride in its youth baseball section, which in recent years has unfortunately seen a decline. However, we are now turning our focus toward revitalising this vital aspect of our community. Our goal is to reignite the passion for baseball among the youth and ensure that they have the opportunity to develop their skills and enjoy the camaraderie that comes with being part of a team. We believe that by fostering this environment, we can create a bright future for baseball in Bracknell.

The first session was structured around familiarising the children with the basics of the game, incorporating fundamental skills such as throwing, catching, batting and some running drills. To keep the atmosphere lively and engaging, we infused elements of fun into the training. This approach not only helps the children learn but also ensures that they are enjoying themselves while doing so.
